Playground makeover!

Hello blogging world! Today Te Waka Ako came together to do a maths challenge using tinkercad. We did this challenge for the juniors because the juniors playground only has 12-14 poles left for their playground so we have started to create our own imaginary playground. Making this was really fun because we can have anything in out playground and it is also cool because when you use tinkercad all of the shapes are 3D. Below this text is my screencastify of my playground!

From making this playground I have learnt how I can make a slide now using tinkercad. I have really enjoyed this challenge and hoped that you would do it too! Maybe next time I should challenge myself with harder playground features. Please feel free to leave a positive, thoughtful and helpful comment to help improve my blogging! Bye! Bye! Tent maths!

Hello blogging world! Last week Te Waka Ako made a toothpick and modelling clay tent for maths. Making this tent was really fun because we got to have the tent any shape. We first started off by doing some maths about tents in a maths book then once we have finished doing the tent maths the senior syndicate gathered up together and everyone each got a handful of toothpicks and 1 tube of clay to make their tent. Below this text is my tent it was not finished though but hope you like it.

From making this tent I have learnt that if you use too much clay at the top of your tent to hold up your toothpicks it will be too heavy for the toothpicks and the tent will eventually break or fail. Maybe next time I should try different and harder shapes to challenge my self. I hoped that you have enjoyed this blog post and will be inspired. Please feel free to leave a positive, thoughtful and helpful blog comment. Bye! Bye! Blogging world!

Student led toolkits!

Hello blogging world! Today 24 people from the student led toolkits got to have an opportunity to learn and present to New Windsor School and other people from the Ako Hiko schools. If you would like to see more about Ako Hiko the website is akohiko.org. Every student had to get transported so some parents also came. We first arrived and got out lanyards if you don't know what lanyards is it is like a tag or something to show what session you go to during the toolkits. Our lanyard were kind of like a special pass. Most of the time everyone was in the auditorium. All the school had different sessions for 1 hour. Below this text would be some photos of our school!

2 lucky people got to do the coding challenge and it is in the second photo for the coding challenge they had courses to play with the trendy spheros they are like robots that light up. The third photo is a problem solving challenge when you have given materials to make something. From going to student led toolkits I have learnt how to sign in the WiFi more quicker than usual. Maybe next time should try improve my google slide. I think that everyone has had a really fun day as much as I did. Please feel free to leave a comment! I wish I could do this again! Bye! Bye! Blogging world!

How to make an quality blog comment!

Hello blogging world! This week with our cybersmart teacher Gerhard, we were learning how to make a quality blog comment. If you would like to learn to make a quality blog comment you have come to the right place! We first started off by using a padlet and think about different ideas that would make a good comment. Then after we did the padlet we filed a drawing with sentences that are positive, thoughtful and helpful. Below this text is my blog comment.

From making this comment I have learnt more sentence starters for blog comments. Maybe next time I should try make the sentence longer. I hoped that you have enjoyed this blog post and you also use these tips to make a quality blog comment. Bye! Bye! Blogging world!
