The First Settlers-Day 1 Summer Learning Journey

Hello blogging world! On the first activity for the Summer Learning Journey we had to read this story about Maui and the giant fish. We had to write 3 interesting facts about Maui that we learnt and other stories we know about him.

My first fact is that over thousands of years these gullies and mountains became the landscape of Aotearoa (New Zealand). Second fact is that every time when Maui's brothers would come back from fishing Maui would ask if he could go fishing but his brothers would always make a excuse so he can't go fishing. Third but last fact about Maui is that before fishing he made a plan to prove his brothers that he is a great fishermen! Here is one story about Maui that I have heard, Maui and the sun, I have read this but I encourage other people to read this if you haven't.

From reading this story I learnt that the first settlers was Maui. It was hard to find a photo for Maui and the giant fish. It was easy to find facts about this story because I have read this before. Next time I would try write more stories I have heard of. I hope you have enjoyed this blog post! If you would like to learn more about this story click here! Bye! Bye! Blogging world!

Novel study

Hello blogging world! Last week everyone in the senior syndicate started a book review. Everyone was given a book and we had to read it. My book was called "The Tooth" from Des Hunt. If you don't know what a book review is, it is a slideshow with given activities that you have to do, but first you have to read the book. Some people didn't finish their book review, like me. This is a page that I had to work on. This is a setting made from Tinkercad. Tinkercad is a 3d model designer, I also linked tinkercad. This is one of my tasks that is in my story, and a photo of the book.

From making this I learnt how to create people, using Tinkercad. I really enjoyed making the setting because it was my own imagination. It was hard to think about ideas because there wasn't many things I can make on tinkercad. I hoped you have enjoyed this blog post and would get inspired to try out Tinkercad if you haven't. Bye! Bye! Blogging world!
