Hello blogging world! This week Manukau did maths. for maths we had to get toothpicks and make patterns out of it. Firstly we had to get a algebra figure it out book and we have to answer all of the page 5 questions. After that we had to make our own patterns out of toothpicks for other classmates to work out. Me, Ashana and Lily made a slide together and we had to answer all of the questions from each person. Under this text is my maths.
If you haven't already seen the answers try answer the questions by commenting. From making this toothpick pattern I learnt a easier way to find the answer to these questions. It was hard to think about a type of pattern to do because, our Chromebook can't take much if it is too big. It was easy to upload the photo and write the questions. I hope that you have enjoyed this blog post and would like to make one of these too! Please feel free to leave a positive, thoughtful and helpful comment just to improve my work! Bye! Bye! Lets travel around New Zealand!
Hello blogging world! A few weeks ago Te Waka Ako started a slideshow about maths, the maths was about a NZ journey. Our challenge was to travel for 11 days doing fun activities. We had a choice to hire a car or camper van, if you get a camper van you don't have to stay at a hotel which is what I did. The end of everyday we had to calculate what was the total of money you used. In each day we had to travel with our car, plane or even a ferry. There were lots of fun activities like going to Mr. Ross's farm, going on a Segway ride and a lot more!. You would also have to select accommodation of where you are going to stay for the night(s). Everyone had to travel from south island up to the north island. Overall this was really fun to do because we get to do lots of activities. Under this text is my slideshow have a look!
From making this blog post I learnt how long you need to travel from a car to places, and it is not cheap to travel around NZ. It was hard to find how long you travel from a ferry though. It was easy to add up the total for one day because we could use a calculator. I hoped you liked my blog post and would stop at my blog once again! Bye! Bye! Blogging world!

Minecraft work!
Hello blogging world! Last week as a whole Senior Syndicate everyone made any Minecraft character. I really liked making my Minecraft character because I like playing Minecraft. We used a spreadsheet to make our Minecraft characters because you can resize the columns and rows. It was quite difficult to resize them but I got the hang of it. Everyone had a really cool character. Under this text is my character!
There is a link on the picture if you click on it. This is tiny but I can't fix it. From making this Minecraft character I learnt how to make the boxes smaller or bigger. This was also a maths activity. Maybe next time I could add some shoes to my Minecraft character and have my character more detailed. I hope that you have enjoyed my Minecraft character and will also get inspired to make this. Please feel free to leave a positive, thoughtful and helpful comment to help improve my blog posts! Bye! Playground makeover!
Hello blogging world! Today Te Waka Ako came together to do a maths challenge using tinkercad. We did this challenge for the juniors because the juniors playground only has 12-14 poles left for their playground so we have started to create our own imaginary playground. Making this was really fun because we can have anything in out playground and it is also cool because when you use tinkercad all of the shapes are 3D. Below this text is my screencastify of my playground!
From making this playground I have learnt how I can make a slide now using tinkercad. I have really enjoyed this challenge and hoped that you would do it too! Maybe next time I should challenge myself with harder playground features. Please feel free to leave a positive, thoughtful and helpful comment to help improve my blogging! Bye! Bye! Blogging world!

Tent maths!
Hello blogging world! Last week Te Waka Ako made a toothpick and modelling clay tent for maths. Making this tent was really fun because we got to have the tent any shape. We first started off by doing some maths about tents in a maths book then once we have finished doing the tent maths the senior syndicate gathered up together and everyone each got a handful of toothpicks and 1 tube of clay to make their tent. Below this text is my tent it was not finished though but hope you like it.
From making this tent I have learnt that if you use too much clay at the top of your tent to hold up your toothpicks it will be too heavy for the toothpicks and the tent will eventually break or fail. Maybe next time I should try different and harder shapes to challenge my self. I hoped that you have enjoyed this blog post and will be inspired. Please feel free to leave a positive, thoughtful and helpful blog comment. Bye! Bye! Blogging world!
