VE Day! - Day 5

Hello Blogging world! This week has been another successful week of learning together! I hoped that you have learnt a lot from me. The WWII finally came to a end in 1945! Everyone in New Zealand had a VE Day, a VE day is short for Victory in Europe. Lots of people would come to your house and have a big party. If you were alive in the 1945s who would you invite? What will you do to celebrate? Tell me in the comments! Here is what I would do.

If I were to be alive in 1945 I would have invited my close friends that I love hanging out with and my family members. On that day we would go to a outside pool that is not public so that we can swim in it with my friends and family. I would also like to go to the beach and have a BBQ. With ice cold drinks like lemonade.

I really want to do those things right now but I can't. From making this blog post I learnt what a VE day is now. It was easy to write what I would have on a VE day in 1945 because these are my favourite things to do. I hope you have learnt from this blog post! Please feel free to leave a comment! Bye! bye! Blogging world!

  1. Hola Amie,

I like how you made your imaginary VE day in 1945, you were really thinking about putting yourself in their shoes. I think the celebrations would’ve been so much more special especially to see the end of a war. Had you thought about how they might’ve celebrated it then in 1945?

I would definitely spend VE day with family and close friends, we love to have pool parties and barbeque and in the evening we always get together and watch a movie. Imagine if you were to have your VE day celebrations in 2018, would anything change?

    Toe feiloa’i fo’i,

    Cia.
