Popular Culture - The Silent Movie

Hello Blogging world! Today's first activity is about the 1920s silent movies. They never talked in movies that time but the acting was just right so that people knew what they were trying to show in the movie. The ever first movie released was Charlie Chaplin's movies. Here is his first movie if you want to see the trailer. Do you like it? Maybe tell me in the comments if you like it or not.

I would definitely like to watch a silent film because the actors for it is very good at acting and they can tell a really good story. Would you like to watch one of these old movies from the olden days?

I really like the Gold Rush movie. From making this blog post I learnt who Charlie Chaplin is. It was easy to find out what the silent movie was about because of their detailed acting. I hope you enjoyed this blog post, please feel free to leave a comment down below. Bye! Bye! Blogging world!

  1. Morena Amie,

You are absolutely right. Charlie Chaplin and his fellow actors would have to be very talented at telling a great story without any words. I have never watched a silent movie but found the trailers hilarious so may have to track a movie down and watch it with my family. Charlie Chaplin is very similar to Mr Bean so I wonder whether Chaplin was an inspiration to the Mr Bean movies. Have you ever watched Mr Bean?

It is great that you liked the Gold Rush trailer. From watching the trailer what do you think the movie was about?

Today I will be heading to the Welsey Community Centre between 11:30 & 1:30. It would be awesome to see you if you are able to join me.

I hope you had a lovely weekend and have a beautiful day,
    Megan

    1. Morena Megan, I have watched the Mr Bean quite a lot of times because I have the movie, he is quite like Charlie Chaplin. From watching this trailer I think it is about these people trying to find gold but they have to pass a lot of challenging things like avoiding the bear. I would love to go to the Wesley Community Centre but I am not sure yet. Thank you for inviting me.

    2. Hey Amie,

Yes, I agree with you. I think it is a comedy about Chaplin's adventure and challenges. It looks to me that Chaplin may fall in love toward the end of the movie.

No worries about today, I will be here again next Monday between 11:30 & 1:30. I will send you a quick reminder closer to the time.

      Enjoy the sunshine,
      Megan
