Hairy Maclary from Donaldson's Dairy.
Out of the gate and off for a walk went Hairy Maclary from Donaldson’s Dairy. Hairy Maclary found a fairy and said he was from the dairy. Following Hairy came the poodle the poodle just wanted to doodle! Hairy Maclary said he was the Dairy so the Poodle followed along too. Soon the sky turned to fog Hairy found a Bulldog, Hairy introduced the Bulldog by saying Hairy is from the Dairy. Hairy Maclary went to a farm and found a pig that was eating figs. Hairy Maclary went to the house to see the farmer the farmer was from Donaldson's Dairy!
The End!
From making this blog post I learnt who made the book of Hairy Maclary. It was hard to think about the sentences because the story usually rhymes so I tried my best to rhyme it sometimes. I hope you have enjoyed my story! Please feel free to leave a comment! Bye! Bye! Blogging world!
Hi Amie.
ReplyDeleteYou are such an active blogger and I love reading your posts. They are always colourful and include some really descriptive language. This one particularly I really enjoyed reading your story that you created including some fabulous rhymes. - Well done.
These books are very famous to NZ kids as the author is from NZ, often you will find these books in all libraries and they really help with reading and rhyming.
I like this description I found on each of the characters in the story
"Schnitzel von Krumm
with a very low tum,
Bitzer Maloney
all skinny and bony,
Muffin McClay
like a bundle of hay,
Bottomley Potts
covered in spots,
Hercules Morse
as big as a horse
and Hairy Maclary
from Donaldson's Dairy"
Which one is your favorite?
Look forward to hearing from you and commenting on my reply.

Hello Clare, it was really hard to rhyme them. My favourite sentence was Bottomley Potts covered in spots because every Dalmatian has spots.
