Sporting Heros - Activity 2

Hello Blogging world! In 2015 a kiwi golfer named Lydia Ko became the youngest women to reach the #1 ranking. She was only 17 years old that time, many people admired her and said she was their idol. For this activity we had to share our favourite
sporting hero or either a famous athlete. Who are they and why are they a hero? I don't have much sporting heroes but I chose Valerie Adams.

She is a kiwi shot put player and she has played in the Olympic games and Commonwealth games too. She has been to many countries to compete and has won a lot of medals. Valerie is a sporting hero because she has been the dominant women's shot putter in the world since 2006.

Does she sound like a cool sporting hero, well if you would like to find out more about her click here.   I hope you have enjoyed this blog post and have learnt who Valerie Adams is if you have not yet. Bye! Bye! Blogging world!

  1. Kia ora Amie,

You have chosen an inspirational sporting hero to share with us. It is interesting that she has been the top shot-putter in the world since 2006. Does this mean that she has won World Championships since 2006? I have another interesting fact about her, she is now a proud mother to a beautiful baby girl. I am not sure whether she will be competing at the World Championship this year, but it will be interesting to see her future career.

What traits about her inspire you? I think the fact that she has help many World Champion title means that she is determined and motivated to conquer her goals.

I look forward to hearing your response,
    Megan :)

    1. Namaste Megan, I think that does mean she has won World Championships since 2006. You are absolutely Correct she is a mother of a pretty daughter. Her traits that inspire me is the same as yours. Another fact about her is that she is a New Zealander too. Thanks for Commenting!
