Migration - Activity 2

Hello Blogging world! Over the past decades, there has been a huge number of people coming to New Zealand to travel of even live. My family would have been one of those people too! In this activity we had to share our hometown (where we were born) and add a picture but remember to be cyber smart and don't add your address. We also had to list 3 things that tourists could do if they come to my hometown. So here is my hometown.

This is a link where I got my picture from, click here. My hometown was Waiuku/Pukekohe and I lived here for about 4 years and now moved to Auckland. 3 things you can do here as a tourist is go to the beach that is in Waiuku and go fishing. The 2nd thing to do is biking because there is a lot of mountains that you can bike on. The last things to do is if you are into horses you should go to Silver Fern Riding Stables.

If you are interested to go to Waiuku here is a map. I hope you have enjoyed this blog post! Please feel free to leave a comment about what your hometown is. Bye! Bye! Bogging world!

  1. Kia ora Amie,

That is very interesting that you were born in Waiuku. You didn't have to move very far on your adventure to Auckland. Do you often visit Waiuku? I took my son to the Glenbrook Vintage Railway one year as they have an event twice a year, where they dress the steam trains as characters from Thomas the Tank Engine. Have you ever been to this event before?

I was born in a town called Taunton, which is toward the bottom of England. When I visit Taunton, my family and I like visiting an old manor house which makes the best scones with jam and clotted cream. We also like picking the blackberries (brambles) and making brambles and apple crumble. The brambles in Taunton are twice the size of the blackberries here in New Zealand.

    Have an awesome day,
    Megan
